All-Inclusive Overnight Rio Claro

2 Days

Rio Claro is a beautiful natural reserve where you can do a calm white-water rafting or tubing down a river, go ziplining, and birdwatching. You will be staying in open air cabins. With this nature tour, your electronics, for the most part, will not work or barely work. This trip is to take you back in time and enjoy the outdoors without technology – just you, your friends, the animals, and mother nature. This is also a great place for kids for swimming and a very beginning zipline (canopy) over the river. There are a variety of things to do here, but this specific trip includes a calm white-water rafting experience and ziplining over the water, and of course birdwatching on your own if you prefer. These are activities children 7 and over can take part in. Exploring caves and rock climbing here but children need to be a little bit older, and we can do a customized tour if you prefer those other 2 activities. (12 yrs. old for cave exploring and 18 yrs. old for rock climbing). A medical card is necessary for this trip, which we include. All of our trips include insurance.

Note: Rio Claro is in the Tropical Rain Forest so it can get quite humid. Humidity near water often attracts mosquitos so we highly recommend mosquito spray here. Cabins are open air, which means mosquitos may enter, but you have a net over your bed. Very rarely does anyone complain about this as we are in a primitive area but very well preserved. Many tourism sites will not give you this information, but we wanted you to be aware. There are a lot of trees, so even though it is humid, there is usually plenty of breeze.
