Guatape is probably the most touristic town in Colombia. It is famous for a number of things, but mainly El Penol, the world’s third largest rock which you can climb via stairs. There is a shop and little restaurant at the top. Lakes here are man-made, and I believe the largest reservoir in Colombia. It is also famous for a street of umbrellas which you can see in the gallery. Here, there are a plethora of things to do such as take boat rides, swim in hotel pools, eat at a variety of restaurants, walk on the boardwalk by the lake, jetski, and more. On our route to Guatape, we will see 2 waterfalls, one in Santa Elena and another in Santuario. Once in Guatape, we will take a boat ride, have lunch, climb the rock, and enjoy the city. You will get a choice of climbing the rock on Day 1 or Day 2. On Day 2 we will have breakfast at our hotel, visit Guatape again and journey to Retiro to see another waterfall. After spending some time here, we will return to Bello, Medellin
