On this trip, you will see 3-4 amazing waterfalls. Two of the 4 waterfalls are inside parks, and they are quite amazing and beautiful. The other 2 waterfalls are not so well-known, but they are excellent waterfalls. Retiro and La Ceja are nice, quaint little towns and considered to be relatively wealthy by Colombian standards. Although not overwhelmed with tourists, you may very well see tourists crowds on certain days at these 2 waterfall destinations.
Overview
We will start this journey from Metro Station Niqui or Bello. You will first travel to Waterfall Salta Del Buey. This is one of our favorite waterfalls as you will feel the spray of its force. You will walk down with your guide to the waterfall and take as many photos as you desire. (You cannot swim here). After this spectacle we will make our way back to the town of Retiro for lunch. We will see 2 waterfalls in Retiro. The first is named Cascada los Chorros and this is a nice waterfall close to the road out in nature. After some photos here, we will continue to Tequendamita Falls where a waterfall surrounds a huge rock in the middle. This is also a very beautiful park. Take your time and enjoy. If time persists, on our way back to Medellin, we will stop at Waterfall Santa Elena which is an excellent place to sit with the family and enjoy nature, but this water is freezing cold.
