These two pueblos offer some of the best hidden scenic waterfalls that Colombian travel guides somehow have decided to miss. With this trip, you will see a minimum of 4 waterfalls, one which includes the largest natural pool in Colombia. In these “pueblos,” the locals are extremely friendly and very helpful. Both pueblos are full of water activities from bathing to swimming to tubing. Here, we will have the opportunity to do the aforementioned activities including birdwatching on hikes to waterfalls. This tour is excellent for family outings. Customized tours to these towns can be arranged to do the following: rappelling down waterfalls, fishing on a river boat, hiking, and birdwatching. These two towns are the favorite of many “Paisas.” Paisa is a word given to locals who live in the Antioquia department, with the capital being Medellin.
Overview
You will immerse yourself in nature, mostly water in two relatively under discovered towns by tourists and see some of the most stunning waterfalls most people do not know even exist. You are welcome to swim or take a dip at these waterfalls. You will also enjoy tubing down a river with a professional guide. This will be a 3-day, 2-night stay. The hotel accommodations will be in San Carlos and San Luis. You will transport in car or bus depending on your group size. Your first stop will be San Carlos to take a trip to a couple of waterfalls, tube ride, Balneario and enjoy a night’s stay. Then on to San Luis the following day to enjoy another great town.
