Anza, Colombia is a very small town not very well known about 1 hour and 40 minutes by car from Medellin. Anza is rich in agriculture and with its adjacency to the Cauca River, this little pueblo produces lots of corn, beans, yuca, bread, mango, aguacate and a variety of different fruits. At first glance, this looks like a boring little town, but has a number of things to do. On this trip, w aree will visit a total of 3 waterfalls, one in San Jeronimo, one in Anza, and one in Bolombolo. You will also take a walk on a bridge where there is a place where you can worship on the bridge with beautiful surroundings and above a nice creek. The area is a Catholic setting. You will also be given a history tour of the town of Anza. There are more waterfalls up the creek in Anza according to some maps so if you want to take a beta tour of this town, please click here.
Overview
We will meet at Metro Station Bello. We will make a journey to see our first waterfall near San Jeronimo. This is literally on the side of the highway. Then we will continue to San Jeronimo and walk on Grut Bridge. This Bridge has a tiny church built on it over a creek and it is a neat area to see. We will spend about 20 minutes there and then continue to Anza. We will have a history tour of Anza, then have lunch. After lunch, we will continue on to our second waterfall. Here we will need to walk in and across creeks, so you will need water shoes and a bathing suit if you want to swim here. After some time here, we will continue on towards Bolombolo where you will see your final waterfall. You can bathe in the final waterfall, but it may be deep for some closer to the fall. Then we will return to Bello, but you will receive a surprise on the return.
